ePoster Winners 2009

Lisa de Koning – Ms. de Koning is a FM student at Saxion Universities an IFMA Foundation accredited degree program in Deventer, The Netherlands won the undergraduate 2009 ePoster competition. Her presentation, “One Size Fits All?” was based on an internship she undertook with Intel Japan in Tokyo. In particular her work involved a study of the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) based on an American system into the culture of a Japanese company. Ms. de Koning compared the cultures of the countries and how it affected the implementation of the QMS system. View her presentation.

Candice Bullard – Ms. Bullard is a FM master’s student at Georgia Institute of Technology an IFMA Foundation accredited degree program in Atlanta, GA, U.S.A. She is the winner of the 2009 ePoster competition for graduate students. Her topic was “Global Sustainable Building Certification Systems,” the presentation identified the various certification systems throughout the six populated continents, discusses their similarities: energy and water use reduction, recycling, use of sustainable materials, and so forth, their differences: costs, administration, exclusion of specific areas, and postulates the future of sustainable building certification systems.View her presentation.
